Madeleine is a former RN, Clinical Aromatherapy Educator, Massage and AquaCare Specialist.

Madeleine is CEO and Senior Educator of Kicozo, the global Knowledge Institute for Integrative & Complementary (Nursing) Care.

She is a highly respected expert and world renowned educator  in Clinical Aromatherapy and other complementary therapies, specialised in the care for the frailest patients and elderly, in oncology, in palliative and end of life care. Madeleine is a member and advisor of several professional associations, and a Fellow of ICAN.

Madeleine is the author of papers and books and of the Dutch National Guidelines on Aromacare and Aquacare in Palliative and Cancer care (2023).

Her latest book Clinical Aromacare, Aromatherapy in Health Care & Practice was published in 2023.
