Flower Power to the Rescue(sm)…..Emergencies happen. Are you prepared?

Exploring the use of Botanicals During Stressful Times for You and Your Animal Friends.

Relief is on its way! When we heard these words, we breathed a bit softer, tight muscles started to soften, and feelings of panic turned to hopefulness…. We were alive, safe, and had each other and our animal family were thankfully unharmed. This is just a bit of what our family felt and is still experiencing in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. My hope in sharing my presentation is to empower those who may be going through the same and inspire others to consider the importance of botanicals as allies in times of stress and trauma.

In this presentation, we will explore the use of aromatics, botanicals, and flower essences for emotional and physical support during and after stressful times such as emergencies. The word emergency conjures up all kinds of thoughts, from daily mishaps to full-blown get-in-your-vehicle-and-evacuate! Questions and concerns that come to mind….Are we prepared? Do we have a first aid kit on hand? Can botanicals help us during stressful times? You may wonder if botanicals have a place in traditional first aid kits- the answer is YES!

In my presentation, I will share which botanicals have been most beneficial for our animal friends and how emotions, more often than not, impact the healing process (both emotional and physical). How we ‘act and react’ during and after an emergency affects those around us, including our animals.

Keeping botanical tools within reach and feeling prepared helps one feel grounded and focused. During times of stress and emergencies, nature's allies are gentle guides to restore calm as we navigate anxiousness and uncertainty, often followed by frustration and sometimes even a sense of gloom. Wouldn’t feeling supported, safe, and cared for be a welcome relief versus a cycle of fearfulness, panic, and overwhelm? If you agree, I invite you to explore the information in my presentation to gather botanical supplies and other helpful items to make your own ‘Flower Power to the Rescue Kits’(sm) for yourself and your animal friends.
