The University of Utah is just 10 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).

Travel To and From the University of Utah

UTA TRAX is Salt Lake Valley’s light rail system. It has three main lines – the Red, Green and Blue Line. University Guest House is situated adjacent to the Fort Douglas stop on the Red Line, near the end of the route. To reach the Guest House from downtown, board the Red Line at Court House.

To reach the Guest House from the Airport, take the Green Line to Court House and transfer to the Red Line to University. For detailed maps visit the UTA TRAX website. The one way fare to and from the airport is $2.50.

Taxis, shuttles, and rental cars are also available at the airport.

Free parking will be available for conference Guests in the University Guest House parking lot. Do not park in other areas on campus without a permit.

Payment by major credit card can be processed over the phone, on our website or at our airport desk. Advance payment by credit card is required for some areas and for some types of service. You must call in advance to reserve your pick up date/time to and from the airport.

What to Bring

Salt Lake City’s October weather typically varies from 60-75 degrees F. Bring a jacket in case of rain or chilly weather.

Don’t forget a good pair of hiking shoes and socks if you would like to enjoy the beautiful hiking trails in the area and a pair of dancing shoes for the Friday evening social.
