Aromatic Herbal Medicine and Diabetes

with Bevin Claire

Aromatic herbal medicine and dietary spices have extensive history and evidence base for use in the prevention and management of diabetes. One of our most common chronic conditions worldwide, adult-onset diabetes is a preventable and treatable disease. While lifestyle factors can be central to prevention and treatment, the use of botanicals can dramatically impact the development and pathological impact of diabetes. In this lively lecture we will explore the history of medicinal spices used in diabetes, the evidence base and research and the practical application of these effective (and delicious!) medicines.
